I am a writer and editor with 20+ years' experience working in print and digital publishing.
In the gritty, giddy 1980s, I arrived in Times Square with two suitcases and a dream, like Mary Tyler Moore dropped into the market scene from Blade Runner. After waiting tables and clerking in bookshops, I taught English to refugees, got a job in book publishing and, back when dinosaurs like AOL roamed the space, I began writing and editing websites. I have steered successful projects from brainstorm stage to award-winning fruition.
In these quiet days leading up to my PowerBall win, I live in the East Village with my family and spend a lot of time in museums, book stores, and movie theaters. I also watch trashy television so it's not all high culture over here. I like road trips, local bars, getting lost, and laughing. I really like laughing.
